Relational data platform for Factory and Azure SQL workloads

Official documentation (opens in a new tab)

Overview

SQL Server—including Azure SQL Database and managed instance—is the default relational store for ConnectSoft Factory templates and SaaS platform programs. NHibernate and EF Core mappings, FluentMigrator or EF migrations, and backup policies are baked into generated solutions.

We design schemas for multi-tenant SaaS, integration boundaries, and reporting replicas with clear ownership. Performance tuning, indexing, and deadlock monitoring feed the same Application Insights and SQL analytics dashboards operators already use for app tiers.

Client estates with existing SQL Server investments integrate through documented adapters and migration paths—without forcing polyglot stores where a single Azure SQL footprint meets the SLA more simply.

Need a transactional foundation on Azure with proven ORM patterns and pipeline-governed schema change? SQL Server remains our recommended default for platform durability and team familiarity.

Why we use it:

  • Default relational store for Factory and SaaS templates on Azure SQL
  • NHibernate and EF Core supported with migration discipline in CI
  • Backup, geo-redundancy, and encryption aligned to enterprise SLAs
  • Clear separation between platform OLTP and analytics replicas
  • Monitoring for latency, blocking, and capacity growth
  • Integration paths for legacy SQL Server client estates
