Repos, boards, and pipelines for Factory delivery

Official documentation (opens in a new tab)

Overview

Azure DevOps is the required delivery hub for ConnectSoft Factory and core platform programs: repos, work items, pull requests, and Azure Pipelines with quality gates, artifact feeds, and environment approvals. Generated solutions include pipeline templates that build, test, scan, and deploy to Azure targets.

We wire branch policies, SonarQube or static analysis stages, and deployment slots so releases stay auditable. Secrets flow through Azure Key Vault and variable groups—not committed configuration—matching enterprise compliance expectations.

GitHub and GitLab appear for OSS mirrors and client-mandated workflows; Factory work still anchors on Azure DevOps so support, permissions, and release history stay in one place your platform team controls.

Standardizing delivery for a .NET platform on Azure? Azure DevOps templates give you repeatable CI/CD without assembling pipelines from scratch each engagement.

Why we use it:

  • Required platform for Factory repos, boards, and Azure Pipelines
  • Branch policies with MSTest, coverage, and SonarQube gates
  • Artifact feeds and deployment approvals per environment
  • Integration with Application Insights release annotations
  • Coexists with GitHub for OSS and client mirror workflows
  • Variable groups and Key Vault for secrets management
