Launch a production marketing site in one command

A marketing site looks simple until you list what it actually needs: responsive pages, editable content, SEO tags, structured data, analytics, cookie consent, accessibility, and a theme that matches the brand. Built from scratch, that is weeks of plumbing before a single word of copy. The connectsoft-marketing-site template collapses that into one command, so you start from a production-ready baseline and spend your time on content, not scaffolding.

One command to a running site

The template installs into the .NET CLI and scaffolds a complete solution:

BASH
dotnet new connectsoft-marketing-site -n Acme.MarketingSite

What you get is not a toy starter. It is a Blazor Server application with the ConnectSoft UIKit wired in, a content pipeline, SEO and analytics defaults, and a test project - the same foundation we use for real client sites.

Page packs: start minimal, grow into full

Not every site needs every page on day one, so the template ships content in page packs. A minimal pack gives you the essentials - home, contact, a basic layout - while full adds services, about, pricing, FAQ, case studies, and a blog. You choose at scaffold time and add more later:

BASH
dotnet new connectsoft-marketing-site -n Acme.MarketingSite --pages full

This keeps a small brochure site lean while letting a larger site opt into the whole set without re-scaffolding.

Content is JSON, not hard-coded

The defining choice is that content lives in JSON, separate from components. Copy, sections, metrics, and SEO fields are data files an editor can change without touching Razor. A page reads its content through a content service, which means non-developers can update the site and translations are just additional fields.

JSON
{
  "hero": { "title": "Software that ships", "subtitle": "Delivery you can measure." },
  "seo": { "title": "Acme | Software delivery", "description": "..." }
}

Tip: Treating content as data is what makes a marketing site maintainable. The moment copy lives inside components, every wording tweak becomes a developer ticket.

The non-negotiables come pre-wired

The things teams routinely forget until launch week are already in the box:

  • SEO - per-page titles, descriptions, canonical URLs, Open Graph tags, and schema.org structured data.
  • Analytics and consent - analytics wired behind a cookie-consent gate so you are compliant by default, not as a scramble before go-live.
  • Accessibility and theming - UIKit tokens deliver consistent styling, dark mode, and accessible defaults.
  • Tests - component and end-to-end test projects so the site stays green as it grows.

Make it yours

From the baseline, branding is a token override, content is a set of JSON edits, and new sections are UIKit components dropped into a page. Because the structure is consistent across every site built this way, onboarding a new developer is fast - they have seen the layout before.

Wrapping up

The value of a good template is not the time it saves on day one; it is the mistakes it prevents over the whole project. The connectsoft-marketing-site template encodes the SEO, consent, accessibility, and content-as-data decisions that sites usually get wrong, so your team starts correct and stays focused on the message. One command in, real content out.
